September 27th 2007 : English Day
A themed day to encourage the teaching of English.
So far this term we have sporting fixtures (home and away) for rugby and hockey with Hunter Hall, Wyndham, Keswick and Windermere St Anne's. More fixtures are in the pipeline (weather permitting of course!) Watch this space.
Year 8 are visiting Whitehaven Harbour for an Art Trip as part of their current architecture project. They will be able to record work in their sketch books and be able to take photographs on a digital camera of different styles of architecture which in turn will be developed into a print design.
The visit is a good opportunity for pupils to integrate the local environment with their classwork.
